Entertainment in the early days of the Roaring Twenties or Jazz Age was limited, as contrasted with today. Vaudeville, burlesque, legitimate theater, night club, and cinema, represented live entertainment. There was no commercial radio. Vinyl records were played on hand cranked Victrolas without electricity.
